Dining

As impala glide through the savannah, be seated on our deck for an out-of-this-world dining experience. Sample signature African dishes prepared by our talented chefs paired with fine wines and champagnes. During the cooler season or in wet weather, meals are enjoyed under cover––but still in full view of the reserve’s abundant wildlife. Start the day with a light breakfast overlooking the watering hole, where elephant and wild dogs gather to drink. During your game drive we serve a gourmet picnic and each night, back at the Lodge, you sit down to a feast of regional delicacies.
Dining tent
Feel free to help yourself to coffee and fresh juice in our open residential-style kitchen as your breakfast is prepared before you. Note the striking brass kitchen counter and the overhead light crafted by South African designer, David Krynauw.

Relax in Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge's “lounge in the bush”, an inviting space designed in natural timber, rattan and leather with bright geometric fabrics and chandeliers inspired by Botswana clay pots. Sit at a table to play games or strike up a conversation, or recline in a comfortable chair, cocktail glass in hand, to absorb the views.
