Divided over nine floors and two wings, the 463 guestrooms and suites at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua all have French doors opening to furnished lanais with wrought-iron railings. Surrounded by two 18-hole championship golf courses and a pineapple plantation, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is adjacent to the sandy D.T. Fleming Beach. A 20,000-square-foot sundeck houses a three-tiered pool with poolside bar, two spa tubs, and cabanas (surcharge). Other facilities include tennis and basketball courts, a nine-hole putting green, and a croquet and bocce ball lawn. The Ritz Carlton, Kapalua Spa offers treatments (surcharge) based on traditional Hawaiian concepts and ingredients. Hawaiian cultural programs include tours, arts and crafts, and talk-story nights. The Ritz Kids program (surcharge) provides supervised activities for ages 5-12. The Terrace Restaurant provides a world-class dining experience with a locally inspired menu featuring Hawaiian cuisine crafted by Executive Chef, John Zaner. The new Aina Gourmet is a market style cafe on the lobby level serves up fresh juices and made to order smoothies as well as homemade breakfast pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches all made with locally sourced ingredients. On the covered terrace, a destination bar and lounge opens toward the pool with sweeping ocean views. The new lobby bar is constructed of black lava stone and lighted amber glass. Across the room, the seaside rainforest is the muse for a sushi restaurant that will present the island's pristine harvest. The Banyan Tree is the new venue for private events and banquets. The Terrace Restaurant
The Terrace features a renowned plantation-style breakfast buffet and a la carte menu daily. From macadamia nut pancakes to house-smoked salmon, this inspired breakfast experience truly has something for everyone including a made-to-order omelet station. A casual setting overlooking the pool and Pacific Ocean is enhanced with slow-moving fans and wood screens to illustrate the relaxed pace of island life, a sense of place that is peaceful and verdant.
Aina Gourmet
Specialty gourmet market style cafe featuring locally sourced ingredients and products. This market venue offers breakfast, lunch and snacks including grab and go coffee, homemade pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches in addition to fresh juices and smoothies blended to order. Open from 5:30am until 2:30pm on the lobby level.
The Beach House
Overlooking D.T. Fleming beach in the shade of coconut palms, this casual grill serves salads and sandwiches for lunch, and tropical cocktails and other drinks throughout the day. Open from late morning until late afternoon.
Kai Sushi
A Japanese restaurant with a seaside rainforest element, providing ocean views and an array of sushi and Japanese fare. Open for dinner Thursday through Sunday from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
Alaloa Lounge
With its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, The Alaloa Lounge is the place to view the Maui sunset, enjoy an informal lunch or, from December to April, enjoy whale-watching. A spacious lanai offers outdoor seating or guests may choose to sit inside to enjoy the entertainment in the evenings.
