Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Delhi
Welcome to India’s capital city! Upon arrival you are welcomed with a traditional Indian greeting before being escorted to your hotel.
Day 2
Delhi
Enjoy your first morning in New Delhi, before your afternoon tour along Rajpath to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Landmarks you will visit include Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. Welcome dinner at the hotel. (BD)
Day 3
Delhi / Agra
Today you will explore Old Delhi and the historic sites of Red Fort(driveby), Raj Ghat, and the mile long Chandni Chowk bazaar. Later, drive to Agra, arrive and check in at the hotel.. (B)
Day 4
Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur
Watch the morning sunrise over the great Taj Mahal, a true testament to love, followed by a visit to the exquisite 16th century Agra Fort. On the drive to Jaipur, you will visit the city of Fatehpur Sikri, once the capital of the Mughal Empire, but now abandoned, it is a masterpiece of Indo Saracenic architecture. You will check into your hotel upon arrival in Jaipur. (B)
Day 5
Amber Fort Excursion / Jaipur Sightseeing
Enjoy a morning ascent to the high mountain fortress of Amber before your tour of Jaipur City, the capital of Rajasthan. Sights today include Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of Winds,” City Palace and the ancient observatory. (B)
Day 6
Jaipur / Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur this morning. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel. (B)
Day 7
Jodhpur / Jaisalmer
In the morning, visit the invincible Mehrangarh Fort and the Jaswant Thada (a graceful marble cenotaph built in 1899). In the afternoon, drive to Jaisalmer, a fascinating city rising from the heart of the Thar Desert like a golden mirage. The commanding fort etched in yellow sand-stone stands in awesome splendor. (B)
Day 8
Jaisalmer Sightseeing
Visit the awesome Jaisalmer Fort and the beautifully sculptured Jain temples, built between the 12th and 13th centuries. The afternoon winds down with a sunset camel ride to the picturesque dunes of Sam, where great photo opportunities abound as dancers and musicians perform on the wind-caressed sand dunes. (B)
Day 9
Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur this morning. Check in to your hotel in Jodhpur and enjoy the rest of the afternoon to pursue independent activities. (B)
Day 10
Jodhpur / Ranakpur / Udaipur
Depart for Udaipur in the morning, stopping en route to admire the lovely Jain temples of Ranakpur and enjoy a lunch at the mango grove and private gardens of the Maharajah of Jodhpur. Arrive at your hotel in Udaipur. (BL)
Day 11
Udaipur Sightseeing
Tour Udaipur, also known as the “City of Lakes.” Spend time exploring the architecture of City Palace, Saheliyonki Bari Garden, and the folklore museum where you can watch an udaipur folk string puppet show. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner. (BD)
Day 12
Udaipur / Mumbai (Bombay) / Depart
Board a plane to India’s cosmopolitan city- Mumbai (formerly Bombay), where you will enjoy a day tour of the city. Landmarks and attractions you will be enjoying are the British-built arch “Gateway of India,” the Hanging Gardens and the affluent community of Malabar Hills, the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, the Gandhi Memorial Museum and Jain Temple. You will be provided a day room for your rest and relaxation before being transferred in the evening to board your flight home. (B)
