Visit west Belfast most well-known and easily identified mural is that of Bobby Sands located on the side of Sinn Féin's Falls Road building. This area known as the Falls is predominantly Catholic Nationalist / Republican. Also a collection Irish republican and international politically themed murals known as 'The International Wall' and the "Peace Wall"Duration: 35 minutesStop At: Shankill Road, Shankill Rd, Belfast Northern IrelandNext on the tour is the visit to an area of Belfast City known as the Shankill. During the "Troubles" the Shankill was a centre of loyalist paramilitary activity, where the modern Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) and Ulster Defence Association (UDA) had its genesis. Loyalist paramilitary groups pledging allegiance to the British monarchy and to maintaining the partitioned 6 counties of Ireland known as Northern Ireland within the United Kingdom. Similar to the Falls area the Shankill is adorned with huge murals celebrating historical events, honouring people from the past some of whom from the local community. At all stops during the 90 minute tour our guests have ample opportunity to capture amazing images of the world’s largest outdoor art gallery. We had so many great experiences. We had different standouts. The black cab ride was striking for one of us. Two in our group saw more of the Causeway than just the rocky start. We went up and around on the trail. Anthony was very knowledgeable about the geology and history while Gerry kept us on schedule even with traffic.

What an excellent day trip to Northern Ireland. We took the black taxi your in Belfast and our driver was incredibly informative and shared about his life growing up during The Troubles. What an eye opening experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Dunluce Castle and Giant’s Causeway is wonderful. Our guide, Richard, was incredibly informative and both he and Sid, our driver, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful!

Anthony and gerry are cool guy! Nice day trip. We visited in the morning the titanic museum,very nice. In the afternoon the Castle(amazing) and the Giant's causeway.

We took this all day tour with Wild Rover Tours in a comfortable motor coach leaving from central Dublin. David was our tour guide and did a wonderful job of telling us about the sites and background on Northern Ireland-which is still part of the UK. He explained every detail of each stop and what to expect. David is also an accomplished singer and kept us entertained throughout our journey with Irish folk songs. Joe was our drive and a very good one. He is a professional with safety as top priority. There were several convenience breaks along the way. The first stop in Belfast was for the Black Taxi tour. This is a tour and running narrative of the northern Ireland "Troubles" era between Catholics and Protestants during the 60-90's time period. Before the tour David gave a brief history of religion in England to give us perspective of the tour. From there it was onto Dunluce Castle.
