The Spanish used the area as their headquarters during the conquest of the Aztec Empire and made it the first capital of New Spain between 1521 and 1523. Very productive day, this tour was organized to perfection from the time we were picked up at the hotel to every place we visited, the trajineras were so colorful and the history behind this is fantastic, of course all of this was possible thanks to Carlos, our guide and his vast knowledge and our excellent driver Luis, we all shared a great lunch with authentic Mexican food at Mercado de Coyoacan, highly recommended, thumbs up!!!

It was my first time in Mexico and having Ligia as a tour guide was huge help. It would’ve been very difficult for us to try to do everything on our own. She has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Mexico and Mexico City. She is very fluent in English so it was especially helpful in situations where my limited Spanish wasn’t enough. It was so insightful to have her give us a tour and she continued to be engaging throughout the full day. She had books and materials to aid in illustrating the history of CDMX and Frida’s story. During the car ride she would also share information on popular sites throughout the city as we passed them on the way to Xochimilco, Coyoacan, and the Frida Kahlo museum. She provided an excellent recommendation for a local restaurant in the Coyoacan Market. She made sure we were comfortable and quickly stopped for breakfast when she learned we had not eaten. She goes the extra mile (or km) to ensure you have excellent experience. I highly recommend this p
