Our guide, David, lives right next to the estate where you start the hike. He gave so much information on the local vegetation, economics, and country it was extremely helpful. We finished our hike with a local drink on the Island and his wife's homemade raisin bread! We also got to see a family of monkeys which isn't always the case. Overall we really enjoyed the excursion!

Departed right on time, only three people total, very informative about the island and life of the people. The hike was not too strenuous and there was a story to be told regarding many of the rainforest trees, bushes, and shrubs. I highly recommend this tour.

We took this rain forest hike with David and it was very enjoyable. We booked it only the day before and I thought he gave us a nice rate for the half-day trip considering there were only 2 of us. David is a St Kitts native and is very knowledgeable about local flora and fauna. We got to ride in an air conditioned vehicle rather than the open air safari vehicles, which was very nice. We also got to visit the gardens and batik store at Romney Manor. David gave us some free time to explore there. Highly recommend this tour.

The rainforest was beautiful, but we did not see any animals (birds or monkeys) as there are zip lines above that scare them away. Our guide, Junior was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the fruits of the forest with us, and demonstrated secrets the forest holds.

My wife and I contacted David and Poinciana Tours with very little notice, roughly 2 days before our cruise was due to dock in St. Kitts (10/29/2018). David was very responsive and accommodating in booking us for a rainforest hike on shore notice. When we let him know we were experienced hikers and wanted a more strenuous hike he was able to accommodate and we went deeper into the rain forest. David truly knows this area and island. He gave us amazing local knowledge and detailed stories and facts on the local plants and wildlife. At the end of a great hike we shared some homemade bread and local fruit juice. David then took my wife and I to a great beach to enjoy local seafood and some relaxation. I highly recommend David and his company, this was the best tour we have ever taken!
