Bike Maui has great personnel, gear and safety first mentality for a mountain downhill bike ride. We chose the self-guided tour and enjoyed going at our own pace. Our tour guide Marlin was entertaining and informative during our ride up Haleakala.

This was simply one of the best excursions I have ever done! I was a little nervous the day before but once we met Kimo and headed up the volcano, all my concerns evaporated. Kimo stopped a couple of times to let us experience delicious fruit and also for a wonderful photo opportunity. His knowledge of the island and culture was very much appreciated. Once we were on the bikes, it was an amazing thrilling ride down the volcano. We stopped at a lovely town, Makawao, for a lovely lunch and stroll through the shops. Bought a lovely print, some copper jewelry and tried some yummy cookies! The ride was both exhilarating and thrilling and yet I felt safe the entire time. Bikes are excellent quality with hydraulic brakes. Can’t wait to come back and do it again. Highly recommend!!
