Me and my wife had a very good experience with a very private . It was a very lovely drive thru country roads with natural scenes. The cave itself was an amazing natural formation with glow worms trapped inside and the the boat ride was great.
My husband and I had a lovely experience with this small intimate tour. We started at 6:30 am to visit the Waitomo Glowworms with a return to Auckland before 1:30pm, leaving plenty of time to explore. The time is not an issue since we traveled from California. Our body felt like it was 9:30am. The tour was especially enjoyable because of Vini, our guide. He was very knowledgeable of the Waitomo caves and the worms. It was about a 2 hour drive to the caves but he kept us informed and engaged about our tour and about different aspects of New Zealand like healthcare, lifestyle and history. I highly recommend this tour.
