Many exhibits are free and open to the public.Pass By: St. Louis Cathedral, 615 Pere Antoine Aly, New Orleans, LA 70116-3291The St. Louis Cathedral is the home of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans. The parish has over 6000 members and it was designated as a minor basilica by Pope Paul VI in 1964. Hurricane Katrina inflicted notable damage to the cathedral and especially to its prized pipe organ which had to be sent away to be rebuilt. The cathedral is supposedly haunted by Fr. Antonio de Sedella, a former priest at the cathedral whose body is buried within the church.Pass By: Jackson Square, 615 Pere Antoine Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116-3234Jackson Square played an important part in the history of New Orleans and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1960. It’s the site where Louisiana was made United States territory and was declared one of America's Great Public Spaces in 2012.
