Ive done 3 pub crawls in Japan now and this was by far the worst. That's not to say it was particularly bad, just that the bars were average and had free entry anyway so what was the point of the crawl. However the drinks are cheap and there are free shots so its not all bad.

The host seemed really nice, but the night I went it was 20 guys and 1 girl (who was there with her husband). You start out in the basement of a dark and extremely smoke-filled bar. The 500 yen drink specials were limited to a couple of drinks. As a result, the energy of the pub crawl was really low-key and I ended up leaving early since it wasn't the kind of fun and energetic night I was looking for.

The ladies running the night was really good fun and the bars and club were cool as well - a good mix! I've given 4 stars because at one point half the group was left behind on the streets not sure where we were meant to go for 10 minutes or so - but despite that I'll definitely book on this again next time I'm in Tokyo, so would certainly recommend it!
