Daniel, is a great tour guide! I really enjoyed how detailed and how great of a storyteller he is. I recommend to anyone to visit the plantation it is such a landmark. I will go again!

I reserved the Unheard Voices of the German Coast tour almost a month in advance of our visit. This tour cost more than the standard plantation tour - allegedly delving deeper into the lives of those who lived at the plantation. We arrived early, as specified on the confirmation only to find out that the person who leads the tour had not arrived for the day. A few phone calls later by the staff resulted in us being told the tour would not be given and that we should simply join the standard plantation tour. No offer of a refund or discounted standard tour was made until I suggested such. Not exactly a way to instill confidence in your reservation process. The standard tour was okay - just not what we were anticipating. Oak Alley is a much better "big house" tour and self guided grounds tour. It is unfortunate that the tour guide for the special tour couldn't have let the office staff know in advance so they could have notified us. Poor service - all around.

I booked my tour on line a bit in advance and showed up to see a Fall festival all over the grounds! Parking was horrendous! I only bring that up as it wasn't listed as occurring on the website, which slightly impacted my experience. I checked in at the gift shop and ended up having to go back there to let them know the tour guide didn't show up to meet us - we waited 10 minutes after the start time. The tour was given by a docent who wasn't horrible, but wasn't great either. The house itself was interesting. I hope to get back down to Louisianan to tour it when it is less hectic.

Emma was an excellent tour guide. She showed us through the house, provided so much information and was friendly, as well as helpful. We self toured the rest of the grounds. We have visited a couple of other plantations and liked this one the best. Highly recommend!

This tour was very informative & interesting. Our guides made our tour experience one to remember! I highly recommend this to anyone who may want to learn about their heritage and/or descendants.
