Traveler Reviews

Excellent food tour with Nikita. He was very accommodating with the time and place on a same day booking and was very hospitable during the tour as well. The food itself was enjoyable and Nikita shared a lot about both the locations as well as the food and cuisines. This tour was a great way to learn about the different aspects of Russian and other regional cuisines.

I had an excellent tour with Nikita. He met me in the lobby of my hotel and the tour began as soon as we left. Nikita is very knowledgeable and was able to give me the history of various buildings and neighborhoods as we walked around Moscow. He also gave me insights on life in present day Russia. The wonderful food started at a market where we tried Russian cheese and crepes. We then walked to a monastery and had pastry and tea. We stopped along the way so Nikita could tell me about the history of a building or place. The final stop involved delicious Siberian dumplings. My three-hour tour flew by. It was the perfect combination of food, history, and culture. It was also just the right amount of food for me. We finished at 6:00 pm and I didn’t need dinner that evening. Nikita followed-up afterwards with recommendations for shopping and restaurants during my remaining time in Moscow. I highly recommend this tour.

I really loved the tour. Nikita was very knowledgable and friendly, spoke excellent English, and I learned about Moscow much more than I expected. And it was a great way to meet some Russian food for someone who had just arrived to Russia. The food was really tasty and Nikita was very considerate as to what I prefered and what not. The only thing was that it was a very small sample of foods compared to similar tours around the world (meeely 4 different bites, if you don't count the drinks) - not somthing that made me skip a meal.

We had amazing time in Moscow and this food tour was definitely one of the main highlight. Not only we tested excelent food but also we visited many interesting places. If you would like to see monastery public dinning room with breathtaking paintings choose this tour.
