A very enjoyable experience away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. Glenn Schiro was our tour guide through the Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. He was extremely knowledgeable about both the history of the cemetery itself and of New Orleans in general. The walking tour lasted a little more than an hour and a half and wasn’t too strenuous. We received a confirmation text message the day before that included a photograph of the correct meeting place along with Glenn’s personal phone number in case we needed to get into contact with him. We got lucky with the weather and it wasn’t too hot/humid. Even so, Glenn provided everyone in the group with a small bottle of water and a hand-held fan prior to the beginning of the tour. Highly recommended experience for anyone visiting New Orleans!

Our guide Glenn was great. He was very knowledgable and patient. Whenever we pointed at something slightly off tour, he would take us over and explain it to us. It was a very nice mixture of old and "new" New Orleans history. Glenn did a wonderful job at describing the impact that many of the individuals buried in Metairie had on New Orleans - and the world!

Had a wonderful tour of the cemetery with Glenn Shiro. Very informative. A lot of cool facts. At the end we were rewarded with a cold bottle if water.

We highly recommend this walking tour! It was very informative and fun. Our tour guides were very kind and provided us with fans and water. They tried to stick to shaded areas, which was nice. We had a fabulous time with our visitor from out of town and would go on it again.
