Traveler Reviews

The organization is very good in general - we were picked up at the designated meeting place and was driven to Cordoba. It almost seems like a private tour being that we are the only ones in the car. Our driver, Danny, can converse well in English and he assisted us very well. Upon arriving in Cordoba, we were given ample time to walk around the city before we meet the official guide to the Mosque at 12:30pm. This suits well for us since we were able to eat brunch first. Our guide to the Mosque is Anna and she is very very good and full of information. We wouldn't have known such information about the Mosque if it weren't for Anna. The Mosque tour took almost 1.5 hours and we were given ample time to take pictures around. We need to leave Cordoba at 3pm to drive back to Malaga. Some may say it is a bit tight because of the travel time but nevertheless, it was quite a nice day trip over all.

There are some amazing views and interesting history to the walk. However, Due to the large volume of people, there are multiple stops being made which feel unnecessary. Also, waiting to enter was tedious. However, our guide was knowledge and entertaining and she was very engaged, so the stops were at least interesting.

Our guide Paula was excellent; she was knowledgeable, helpful and communicative through a three hour tour. The Alhambra is extremely busy and the meeting place for tours is chaotic with poor signage and multiple agents . There are numerous queues for new tickets, redemption of vouchers and information. A passport is necessary for admission to parts of the tour. Many people are unaware of this requirement but, fear not, if you have a photographic identity or a screenshot of the original passport then you can join one of the longest queues for a special ticket, There is a great deal to see and much information to absorb : if possible aim to spend the day on site after the three hour tour! Be prepared for enormous crowds and the progress of your tour may be paused as the group in front make their way through each section of the tour.
