Traveler Reviews

It was a great trip. Chris, our guide, had so much information to share and did so with such energy and a little humor. Definitely would give this trip 5 stars!

We are LA natives but learned SO much about our city with this tour! An absolute must do! Our tour guide Chris was so informative, I mean the amount of info and the stories we got was astounding. We learned all about the seedy past of LA, plus he had a wealth of knowledge about architecture and he kept it all entertaining and interesting, he was such a great storyteller. We did this on a random Saturday with nothing to do and were kind of unsure of what to expect but we’re so glad we did it. We now want to try all their other tours!

If you're looking to get some cocktails and experience some haunted Los Angeles - please look elsewhere. Though the tour guide was polite and knew a lot of the murderous history of the area, this tour was in no way worth $45. A lot of the description on the Real Los Angeles Tour description is misleading. 1. Walking Distance: 2 miles - it was definitely more than 2 miles and there were some steep hills involved. This is not mentioned. Also we only got to stop at one place where we could use a bathroom and for a 3 hour tour that's something that people need to keep in mind. 2. It claims to be a night of crime and cocktails but there were no cocktails to be had. The one place we stopped at which was the Spring Arcade Building did not have a haunted bar. It had a taco place, a gelateria, overpriced pizza and an overpriced juice bar. There were supposedly some other things, like a wine bar in there, but they weren't open when we got there. 3. Says it starts at Pershing Square.

Our tour guide was amazing! Definitely learned more about the history of Los Angeles. I do wish it had maybe just a few more rest stops or places to grab drinks.

Excellent, in depth tour - one of the highlights of our trip! Chris was fantastic and taught us so much about true crime, history and the city itself!
