Anna took me on the best tour starting with lunch in Shibuya and doughnuts/bubble tea in Harajuku. She also helped find all the vegan snacks at a convenient store as well. She is so knowledgeable about the vegan food scene and Japan in general! Highly recommend this tour and hoping to cross paths with Anna again soon!
First things first: I took this tour in German. I joined the tour because I wanted to learn more about being vegan in Japan. What I learned from Gizem, who is extremely knowledgeable about the intricacies of veganism, is that it's extremey hard. There's something in everything basically. But Gizem shares not only two absolutely lovely restaurants that are vegan friendly, but also gives tips on how to survive as a vegan if the only thing you have nearby is a 24-hour convenience store or what kind of edible souvenirs you can bring home to your vegan friends. What I found especially cool is that this is not "just" a food tour, but you are also shown tons of photo spots and unique places. So while this is not the Insta-licious tour, you should absolutely bring your camera!
LOVED our vegan food tour with Jackie! She has a great knowledge of how to vegan in Japan, which can be a real struggle. She took us for lunch at an amazing local restaurant for a traditional Japanese lunch which was all vegan. She then showed us what we can/can't buy in the shops which was super helpful and gave us SO much advice!! We had a fab time with Jackie. She was really lovely and super super helpful. HIGHLY recommend doing a food tour through these guys!
Great first approach for Vegan people with Japanese culture. Helpful tips in case if your desire is to visit the Land of the Rising Sun. Gizem is a pretty kind and welcoming person, she will offer you her help on every you need to know.
Giz is super friendly and knowledgable. I felt instantly comfortable talking with her. I thoroughly enjoyed all the food places, I never would've found them by myself. There really are so many amazing hidden gems in Tokyo. We took lots of photos at iconic places in Shibuya between food spots and even managed to see some square watermelons. Btw the doughnuts at the end are to die for! I would definitely recommend.
