Traveler Reviews

The plantation was beautiful and well maintained, the tour guides were informative and kind. But the best part of the package was the airboat ride. The guide kept the ride exciting and informative.

The swamp boat tour with Brad was excellent! He was super knowledgeable! The plantation tour was excellent and shoed the contrasts between the live of the slaves and the plantation owner’s family. Very importantly, it reminds of is the horrors of slavery.

Awesome Captain Adams on swampboat, very informative. Described wetlands and habitat. I last visited Oak Alley 20 years ago. Kudo's to the foundation. The grounds and new gardens are awesome

Amazing experience! Shuttle from hotel was right on time, I called their customer service line to ask where to stand for shuttle pick-up and assistant was polite and easily answered my questions. I traveled alone and felt completely comfortable the entire time. We did the air boat ride first and it was awesome! Our guide Dewey, was a knowledgeable, fun, and down-to-earth guy. (Dress warm for the air boat ride if it's at all chilly out! Would recommend also wearing a rain jacket or windbreaker. They did have blankets to rent at the gift shop, which I am very happy I took advantage of.) After the air boat, we loaded back onto the shuttle for the ride to the plantation. We spent about 2 hours at the plantation with a 45 minute guided-tour included. This was a very good time frame for the site. I did not feel rushed, and I had amble time to wander on my own. There's a cafe and large gift store on site with some great food and gift options and outdoor eating space. This was my first time us

Wonderful day! Both tours were great, and a nice complement to each other. Our driver was a gem and shared her personal Katrina story with us. Overall just a unique, one of a kind excursion. My family and I loved it!!!
