We booked the real Hawai'i the day after we had done The big Island in a Day tour. After that tour we realized the itinerary was very similar to what we just did. When we met up with Dan that morning we let him know what we just did and he said no problem. He asked us what we wanted to see and he was able to come up with a new route and took us where we wanted. He brought us to a great lava tube, waterfalls and stopped on the way back at Tex's Grille for lunch. The loco Moco was fantastic. He also brought us to the Botanical Gardens. They were spectacular and very glad we were able to make it. Since we could not rent a car the Botanical Gardens would not have been possible if he did not customize the tour. That was the great part. Since it was just the 3 of us we did not have to stick to a set itinerary. Dan, Mahalo for showing us the Real Hawai'i

This private tour departing from Hilo was a nice introduction to the Big Island. Dan, the tour guide, took me to Waipi’o Valley Lookout, the town of Honokaa, Akaka Falls, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and some local eateries upon my request. Even under the circumstances these days, Dan was quite flexible and helpful so that I could enjoy a half-day road trip to countrysides and major sceneries on Hawai’i.
