Traveler Reviews

One of the most unique and interesting “tours” we’ve done. I actually wouldn’t even consider it a tour…it really felt more like we were spending an evening with our family. Kevin, Tania, and Sergio were soo welcoming. We crashed their Sunday evening with a short notice request to learn how to make trompitos. If we were intruding we were never made to feel that way. We really felt like we just went to a friend’s house for dinner and drinks. You go to a super market and learn what to pick & what might be comparable ingredients in the US to make the meals. After a quick stop at the store you go to a local home and start cooking! We made tacos al pastor, salsa, guacamole, friojoles charros (a bean soup) and special margaritas. Everything was amazing. I don’t even really like margs but I loved these! That must be why they are special, lol. We’ve even made them at home ! They give you all the recipes are provided after class and it’s a hands on class so don’t think it’s a sit and watch
