Traveler Reviews

Come hungry and be prepared to walk and learn! You will be enlightened and filled with delicious local foods. The experience was eye-opening and very informative. The restaurant and food choices were great. At each stop we were educated about the history of that food and the local culture surrounding it. Although we walked the entire tour we were shaded most of the time and the sites we fairly close to each other. We will go back to the places Daniel, David and Juan showed us We learned so much from Juan, one of the guides, as he gave us amazing historical insights at each stop. We learned so much from David another guide, about local food and culture, including Mercado de Garcia Galvez, where many of the locals shop and eat. We learned about so many unique fruits and vegetables native to this region. It was amazing. We had no idea how many types of fruits and vegetables originate here and many are only found and used in this region. We highly recommend this fun and insightful t

Yes, it's really called Eating with Carmen (the mother of the founder of the company), but it was Nick that took us around for a few hours to numerous food stalls and around the main market. He is personable, knowledgeable about the ingredients and their preparation, friendly with the vendors, and obviously just loves food. Tour couldn't have been better. Highly recommended.
