Overview
After a thorough instruction we first drive towards the Old Town and have a look at the Rhine Tower and picturesque Burgpark with its breweries and outdoor gastronomy. We have a quick rest at brewery 'Ürige' to have a typical Dusseldorf beer to get there. The next destination is the beautiful Rhinepark in which green meadows, plants and public buildings like broadcasting institutions. Not only is the architecture of the buildings worth a visit, but also the fantastic view you will have from the Rhine park of the Rheinturm (Rhine Tower), the marina and the Parliament Building. We then cross the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke to get to the other side of the Rhine to Oberkassel. We drive through the lovely Rhine meadow sand you'll have a great view at Dusseldorf Skyline. You are free to speed up and enjoy driving on the wide path. Segway driving is a totally different driving experience an you will enjoy it. Gliding effortlessly across Oberkassel and back to the right side of the Rhine we get to the harbor of Dusseldorf afterwards where industry meets logistics and trade. Together with numerous culinary offerings in the so-called Medienhafen it makes the harbor area an exciting and modern district we discover by Segway. The nearby Federal State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia which is the central legislative body of the state's political system is what we pass next before finally rolling to our point of departure. My wife and I like Segway tours of a city. You get the guide and can move around pretty quickly and cover a lot more distance than walking. Plus - you're enjoying the elements and not stuck in a van or bus.
He pointed out the beautiful Rhine park area on both sides of the Rhine. The one on the West Side is used as a buffer for an overflow of water which happens frequently. As a result, that portion of park land can be underwater. During the summer, it’s back to normal so we traversed plenty of area in that park while our guide pointed out many things of interest along the way.
We finished our tour at an old brewery that served Altbier which Dusseldorf is famous for.
Great tour and great guide.

Due to bad weather the tour was cancelled but a full refund was no problem. Next year we'll try again.

Great, fun way to see the city! Mehmet was wonderful. He was very informative and gave good history about the different parts of the city. Would definitely recommend!

The explanation was very good and clear. It was a nice tour. The quality of the Segways was good. The office was a little bit difficult to find. The tourgide was very good.
