Traveler Reviews

Our family of six (including 2 grandparents) took the 3 hour kayak guided tour from Angas Inlet Boat Club Port Adelaide. Our guides Kim & Zander provided basic instruction, a life jacket each & helped us into the water in our 2 man kayaks. They guided us into the open waters and across to the mangroves where we weaved in and out of the canopy laden course. That's where our new found skills were put to the test; manouvering under low hanging branches and avoiding others in the group. We then headed to the various ship wrecks along the shoreline while keeping an eye out for dolphins. Sadly only spotted a fin from a far off distance before returning to base. All in all a great expetience. If you have shoulder, arm or back issues you may want to consider your ability as it is somewhat challenging. Can't praise our guides highly enough. They were exceptional in looking after us and providing pandling advice when we needed it, always ensuring we were safe and not left behind. Advise that y

This was given to me as a birthday present by a friend and wow what a great gift. We saw so many dolphins it was fantastic. Our guide Jordan was excellent. We took our time so there was no hurry and if you've never kyaked before you don't need to worry about your skill level on that front either. The mangroves were amazing to see also. This is a brilliant experience and worth the money. I'd totally recommend it and want to do it again

Great experience was had kayaking in the sanctuary. Loved going up the mangrove estuary, the water is so clear - we saw a few dolphins (one went under our kayak). It is a relaxing peaceful experience. Due to change in wind we were unable to get to the shipwrecks, but we will definitely return again when weather improves. Information was also given by guide. Thanks!

Had an awesome time! Our guide was very informative, friendly and enthusiastic. Was surprised at how long the tour went for- thought it would be an hour or so but ended up being almost three hours! (Certainly didn't feel like it). Loved the little creek/mangrove area we got to kayak through. We were very fortunate to have an up-close encounter with a dolphin or two. There were two other Kayak Companies on the same day (all very close together)- however, these guys seemed more professional and more friendly (good signage, provided waterproof pouches, seemed more approachable too). Would recommend to anyone and would love to go again some time. Side note: I had to re-book twice due to a work injury and work schedule issue and they were very kind to re-book at a later date with no extra charge.

An absolutely awesome guided kayak tour. As someone who has fished from Garden Island before on several occasions, I had no idea that the estuarine mangrove creeks on Torrens Island even existed. And what a treat they were to see and paddle upstream on. That, and the ship’s graveyard along with the dolphins coming up to breathe right in front of us. Top rating, and top value for money. If you have kids over 9 and not afraid of rowing on water for three hours, totally recommend as a family activity. Just be prepare to row…a lot.
