Overview
Visit: The Irish Rock 'N' Roll Museum Experience, Curved Street Temple Bar, Dublin 2 IrelandLocated in the heart of Temple Bar—Dublin's Cultural Quarter—the Irish Rock 'N' Roll Museum Experience is the only place in Ireland to celebrate Rock 'N' Roll. This 1.5-hour tour will take visitors on a historical musical journey, where you'll travel behind the scenes of some of Ireland's largest acts. This fully-guided tour has informative exhibits from the Rock 'N' Roll heyday in the '80s, and provides access to one of Dublin's most legendary venues and recording studios. Over the years these facilities have hosted some of Ireland's most popular artists, from Van Morrison to Thin Lizzy, Sinead O'Conner, and Hozier. You'll also find photos and memorabilia from Michael Jackson and U2, and the tour takes place directly behind the Temple Bar Wall of Fame. More than just the music itself, this museum provides some insight into the lives and careers of the artists, and is a way to really walk in the footsteps of some of your musical heroes. At the end of the 90-minute tour, you finish in the middle of Temple Bar where you originally started the tour.

Traveler Reviews
I took the tour in 2017, I was also delighted to take it again in 2019 to see it had gotten so much better. Grainne in particular was a lovely receptionist and skilled tour guide and the owner Paddy was a real character. A lot of women working in the area also which was nice to see and Apollo studio was particularly special. It's brilliant for language school activities and for family visits and verifiably actually cool. The value of the stories were almost hard to believe! Pre COVID tour and their giftshop is online!

Pre booked the tour at the beginning of 2020 when we had travelrd to Dublin to be part of the Vibe for Philo. Turned out to be a great guided tour, loved every second. so pleased we did it when we did now that all this Covid rubbish has gone down around the world.

Had the best time on our visit to Dublin in October '19
Alan was our guide and knew so much about many bands and solo artists he really made the tour for both me and my husband.
it didn't feel like a generic spiel learnt. You could clearly tell he was passionate about the genre. He was that good, after we tried to get tickets to a gig there that night but it had sadly sold out.
Would visit again as we had so much fun but think this was down to Alan if I'm honest.

We all probably know of U2 and Thin Lizzy. Beyond that it may seem hit or miss as to what we know about Irish Rock and Roll influence. Our guide, Alan, was outstanding. He informed us of many other influences directly or indirectly. Great tour. Great stories. Really well informed. Casual. Fun stories. Well worth it.
