My husband and I brought part of our family; daughter, son-in-law, and 3 year old grandson on a trip of a lifetime to Hawai’i with the anticipation of a helicopter tour of the Kilauea volcano and some beautiful waterfalls as well as get an overview of what has taken place over the years with the massive variations in the geography of the land. It was to be the highlight of our entire trip! We met two absolutely incredible women at the airport. First, Stephanie, who introduced us to Safari and their policies, procedures, and what to expect on our tour. We were given safety gear and instructions after being weighed to see where the best seating for us would be on the aircraft. The sky was looking pretty dismal as we followed procedure and boarded the helicopter, only to meet the most incredible pilot, Sam, that we ever could have been blessed with! She was absolutely delightful as she gave us the lowdown about what would be expected of us and what we could expect from the tour. Sa

Safari tours was a great choice. Sam, our pilot was excellent ant gave us other activities to do in and around Hilo that we had not heard about!

We had a amazing experience with Safari Helicopters. We had our first helicopter Ride experience and it was smooth and enjoyable. Both Stephanie and Sam (The Pilot) are very friendly. Sam has very good knowledge about the Island and its geography and provided very detailed answers to our questions. Weather was nice and seeing crater,lava from Helicopter is a lifetime experience for us. My 8 year old kid along with us was thrilled with whole experience. Sam and Stephanie were very friendly and welcoming. The ride was very smooth. Sam, the pilot, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She knew all about the volcanos, geology, and landmarks. My family and I were super happy with the entire experience and my son hasn’t stopped taking about the experience since. Sam was an excellent pilot! She even suggested some local sites to see and we are so thankful because it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this helicopter tour when visiting the big island of Hawaii.
