Traveler Reviews

We had a most enjoyable time on our tour with Anita. Anita is very knowledgeable about the Islands and was able to pass quite a bit on. We also saw some talented artists, and enjoyed a great lunch at our guides won home. We did the Copper class which was quite interesting and cam away with a take home momento. Great value and a good time.

A great day out. We visited a bunch of places, from back yard pottery studio, to wood carving studio, to jewellery, art studio, a great and interesting variety of places and people. We walked the beach and some back roads. Brunch and lunch were delightful and the workshop was great fun. Definitely recommend this trip.

of: Private Full-Day Guided Tour: Macleay and Karragarra Islands We have thoroughly enjoyed our day out on all islands tour with Anita. Anita is very knowledgeable, interesting, and welcoming. She showed us some amazing nature spots around the islands and took us to amazing natural secrets and interesting art studios. She also introduced us to several artists who live and create on these islands, and she even walked us through the house of one of them, which was quite an experience on its own. Thank you, Anita, again for a lovely day. We had the best day snd can certainly highly recommend this tour

An unforgettable and mind blowing experience for me! I have been in Brisbane since 2012 and this is my 1st visit to Karragara and Mcleay Islands with 2 other friends. Anita is an excellent guide, friendly, hospitable and well equipped with information of the islands. We explored the islands learning abt the history, early settlers, food they consumed, their livelihood, the beautiful flora and fauna and much more. The best part of the tour for me was visiting the local artists and an art gallery filled with stunning pottery and painting. It gave me an insight into their simple lives. The icing on the cake was a visit to her home for lunch.

This was a fabulous experience ! Anita is an excellent guide, host, art teacher, and took us around the beautiful islands explaining about it’s history, people, local flora, fauna, architecture and much more. The islands are beautiful, clean, green and peaceful. It was delightful to see Kookaburras and ducks with their young ones moving freely at many spots along our way ! We visited a few local artists and a lovely art gallery. The highlight for me was that we could visit the artists in their homes, interact with them and see their creative space - a lovely experience ! She showed us a wonderful world , far from the maddening crowd.
