This trip was excellent. The guide was very responsible and kept track of everyone (which is hard to do on a tequila tour!). Be prepared to drink a LOT of tequila. Liquid IV is your friend.

Booked this tour via TripAdvisor in August 2021 and had a poor experience. We went on a shuttle with 12ish people. The website says the tour lasts for 5 hrs. It took us 10 hrs to return. Most of the time was spent waiting endlessly for the driver and other passengers. We made 5 stops: 2 distilleries on the way to tequila, a streetside shop that sells the drink cantarita and some poor quality food, the actual town Tequila (where we were given 2 hrs of free time and no guidance on what to do), and an agave field on the way back. Each stop is excessively long, given that there isn't much to see.
Bottled water is not available (despite the website saying it's included). Also bring some snacks, unless you don't mind grabbing street food (since food is not included). We didn't arrive at Tequila until 3:30pm and that was the only place with decent restaurants.
