ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productStop At: Milford Sound Scenic Flights, Queenstown New ZealandCall at 8.45am for a Weather check and then enjoy a complimentary 9am Hotel pick up. You will then be checked in at our base for a 9.45am Departure from Queenstown to Mt. Cook for a 1 hour scenic flight over the Southern Alps. At 10.45am You will arrive at Mt Cook Airport in time for your 11am check in for the Tasman Glacier Heli Hike where you will be fitted with all of your required equipment for the Heli Hike to the Tasman Glacier. You’ll fly by helicopter from Mount Cook airport over the gorgeous Tasman Glacier Lake and ice formations on the lower reaches of the Glacier to a location 3000m above sea level and assessed on the day to be safe. Venture on to the surprisingly undulating ice terrain in the shadow of the highest peaks of the Southern Alps (Aoraki and Mount Tasman); equipped with glacier boots and crampons and spend the next 2 hours in another world in the mountains. On the return flight home, you’ll fly close by the massive 1,000-metre-high (3,200 feet) Hochstetter Icefall on the eastern face of Aoraki/Mt Cook.At 2.45pm you will depart from Mt Cook to Queenstown for your one hour scenic flight.
