Traveler Reviews

If you plan only one activity for your Vancouver trip, THIS IS IT. The entire experience was fantastic. We hiked and saw beautiful trees, greenery, and waterfalls. Paul, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the trees, plant and animal life and shared without it feeling "too educational". The countryside where we rode our bikes was absolutely STUNNING. But, what made our day 10/10 was the tour guide. Yes, the landscape is beautiful, but Paul's knowledge, passion, organization and laid-back friendliness is what made this tour above and beyond for us. 110% recommend. We plan to do the tour again our next time in town.

Best thing we did on our trip was booking this trip! Paul the guide was beyond amazing! We loved the lunch that came with the tour and the hiking was beautiful and the biking was sooo good too! Highly recommend

Paul does a fascinating description of the local area’s landscape, First Nation’s presence, and the interconnections of human interactions with nature. Our family of four with two teens, appreciate that Paul is mindful of group needs and fitness levels, is approachable, patient, humorous, and personable. Lunch was tasty - when you sign up for tour, you let them know your dietary needs - and lunch was in a lovely setting. Thank-you, Paul!

Others have described the day well - so I will just say this was a wonderful way to spend my day. The trip was seamless, the scenery lovely, Paul's knowledge and information delivery was just right; the food was great. Such a welcome, soothing outdoor break after a few days in the hustle of the city.

Paul is genuinely interested in seeing his guests be comfortable and have a fantastic experience. The hike was a pretty easy pace, although there are a few stairs. It was just the right length to get a chance to get far enough into the forest for the stories and background to have meaning. The bike right was great! Everyone's height was factored into the bikes provided so we all had cycles that were comfortable for us. There were a few road crossings, but the vast majority of the ride was on dyke paths that see no traffic other than bikes and dog walkers (and perhaps the odd bit of wildlife). The mountain scenery is dramatic and the history lesson of the Pitt Lake area that went along with the ride was very interesting. When I have visitors come to town, I'm going to suggest they book this tour with Into the Wild.
