We used the boat and bus tour today to visit a lot of Stockholm. It was very convenient and the boy (Luca R) who sold us our tickets was very helpful. We started with the boat from the first boat stop. Viewing the city from the water was really good as it was less crowded. The bus was less convenient as we waited a long time for the bus from this company and there was some confusion. Plus we got on a bus after 16.00 so there was a lot of traffic in the centre. We enjoyed our day and can use the 24 hour ticket for some of tomorrow too.

Stadtrundfahrten sind für uns immer Pflichtprogramm. Wir haben erwartungsvoll die Kombi Boot und Bus gebucht. Erfüllt wurden sie aber nicht. Die Runden sind sparsam und mit dem Wichtigsten angelegt. Wenige Informationen und etwa genauso viel Werbung für die sonstigen Angebote des Unternehmers bestimmen die Tour. In meinen Augen eignen sich beide Rundfahrten für einen groben Überblick, mehr nicht.

Things started off poorly when the man selling tickets kept pushing us to add other products--boat tours and museum tickets. We said no, but he charged the most expensive combination to our credit card anyway. When I called him on it, he shrugged like, "It's a done deal." We insisted he reverse the charge which he eventually did. After we got the ticket we wanted, we waited for a bus. When it arrived, it was standing room only, top and bottom floor. We were the last to squeeze on. Everyone else was left at the stop. We found out later there were six ships in town that day. Apparently City Sightseeing will sell however many tickets they can without regard to capacity. We eventually got a seat, but we couldn't really hop off or we'd never get back on another bus. The next day there were only two ships in town and it was better. There were seats available on most buses. The third day there were four ships and it was very crowded again. I guess the moral is, check how many cr
