My family of five adults did a day private boat charter with captain Ryan and had a total blast! It was the best day of our week!! We had requested snorkel stops and really wanted to see some large turtles and Ryan did not disappoint!! We made one stop before heading over to Lime Out which was great! Ryan is so detailed and prepared he even had menus on board and schooled us in how to be served quickly. He's professional but laid back all at the same time! We ended up our snorkel stops at Salt Pond and saw some HUGE turtles as well as sting rays and an octopus! I cannot recommend Island Roots enough!!!!

We had a fantastic day on the water with Max! He was super knowledgeable about St. John and offered great beach recommendations for the rest of our trip. We ate lunch at Lime Out. So fun! The communication prior to the trip was great. We were contacted about a cancellation and were able to move our reservation up a couple of days and to a larger size boat at no charge. I highly recommend Island Roots!

From the friendly booking process & the helpful phone call, explaining where to meet, to a day on the water exploring new places, Island Roots kept us smiling! We had a fantastic day trip with Captain Ryan. We chose Lime Out for lunch after a quick snorkel around a little cay on the way over to Coral Bay. Lime Out was fabulous & we honestly could have hung out there all day, if we didn't have a boat waiting! :) We had a broad range of snorkel experience in our group, so stopped at a couple easy/moderate locations, and one intermediate/advanced place. Captain Ryan did a great job making sure everyone was accommodated. He was friendly, had interesting information, and did a masterful job keeping us from getting queasy as our day out had some high winds & rougher conditions. We'd definitely recommend Island Roots for anything you'd like to do on the water!

Our charter with Island Roots was one of the best days of our vacation! Their boat was beautiful and our captain, Max, was simply the best! Our trip circumnavigated the island of St John with beautiful snorkel spots and a great stop for lunch. We set our goals for the day in the morning and Max not only met, but exceeded all of them. We will definitely use Island Roots again when we are back on the island!
