A day trip to South Sea Island is an easy 30 minute ferry ride from Denarau Marina with South Sea Cruises. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and FREE use of non-motorized water sports equipment, including kayaking and sailing. Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or if you want to stay dry, jump on board the semi-submersible coral viewer. Make sure you keep an eye out for Nemo!A tasty BBQ buffet lunch and beer, wine and soft drinks are included while ashore.Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and craft market Monday to Saturday. Introductory diving (additional cost) is a particular focus on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive. There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.Duration: 9 hours

Great service from hotel pick-up , boat transfers , food , plenty of refreshments, entertainment and finally drop off. The water is incredibly clear and snorkelling was better than expected. We all loved the day ( kids 12&14). We would recommend to everyone gladly.

We came at the start of Fiji opening so it was a small group. The staff are really lovely, the snorkling is great especially when the guides feed the fish and entire pools of different colours come towards you. Was the best day in Fiji.

We enjoyed very much. Full day program. We will try to visit again to see the beautiful of nature. Really wonderful.

This is a small island which accommodates limited number of people at a time, the package for day tour included kayaking, snorkelling, lunch and unlimited beverages at the island. The snorkelling equipment on offer were just kept in a tub with soap water shared among visitors (you might as well take one along instead of borrowing that) and given the crowd they were well short of kayaks as well. They didn't have any vegetarian option in lunch menu (apart from fruits, salads and of course rice) and neither they had the an option to opt it out from package so it felt a bit expensive at that price (Other options like Malamala beach club had that).
I think they need to raise their standards & quality of service given the cost for single tour.

It’s well organised with slick on time departure/arrival at South Sea Island. There is a briefing on the activities on arrival South Sea Island but you need to be ready to go ‘cos we missed the 1st submarine ride and didn’t see the 2nd one loading up so we missed it. We did get on the guided snorkelling trip (best take your own gear, what’s on offer is pretty crap) but the wind and the weather had got up and we just went a little way off the main beach. It should have been stopped for health and safety reasons as we with others, had to fight our way back to the boat exhausted in a one metre swell. All 3 crew had to get into the water to help people get back (the boat was anchored). We were knackered when we got back on board as were many others. Not clever – beware! Incidentally there was nothing to see on the seabed anyway, just a dead reef! They have fresh water showers which was great so we showered and then had lunch.
