Overview
ItineraryDon’t worry if you’ve never tried ice skating before, anyone can do it! Come and join us for a very Swedish winter adventure; skating on natural ice in and around Stockholm. It’s such a thrilling sensation gliding on the ice, and a truly unique experience that you will never forget!Your guide will brief you on the tour and the safety equipment first off, then coach you on the best technique for gliding easily over the ice. There will be a few practice exercises to perfect that technique before you set off on your adventure! You will skate for 3-4 hours before stopping for a well-earned picnic lunch. There will be hot drinks, an open fire and our classic outdoor lunch on offer.We always strive to find the best natural ice on the day of your tour. This means that, depending on the weather conditions, the location of our adventure and the skating conditions may vary. We could go to a small lake, to Lake Mälaren (the 5th largest lake in Europe) or to the Baltic Sea in Stockholm’s Archipelago – we won’t know until that day. We skate on all types of natural ice; from hard black ice, to ice with water or snow on top. One thing we do know for sure, is it’ll be a great experience!

Joakim is a lovely person and an exceptional guide. All the staff were friendly and professional, and we always felt very safe on the ice with Joakim. The chance to skate on natural ice was a beautiful and unique experience. Highly recommended.

The tour was extremely well organised, and our guide was very knowledgeable. I had absolutely no previous skating experience and struggled to pick it up, but our guide made me feel very comfortable and made concessions to let the more experienced skaters have a fun experience and give me a chance to practice at the same time.
I would highly recommend the tour and would do it again myself. I am just sad I waited until the end of the season so I will have to wait till next year to give it another go.

We did introduction to ice skating with Joakim and it was amazing ! The conditions were perfect and it was an incredible experience ! He shared his passion and we would love to do it again ! It is a must do if you’re visiting Sweden !

Funny guide, good hands on learning, very exhausting. Amazing experience 10/10 would recommend. I expected a 4 hour drive to get ice, we were there in only 30 minutes.

We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this tour. We'd love to go again or take one of the more advanced tours after practising a little ourselves to get better at skating on natural ice. The equipment provided was great, and the lunch was really nice. The scenery was stunning and we never had any issues with the cold after following the instructions for what to wear.
