Traveler Reviews

Valley of the Winds walk was well worth doing. We started reasonably early and enjoyed the cooler part of the morning from 730a-11am. Scenery was brilliant, our guide was knowledgeable, pointed out numerous plants and features and kept a good walking pace with appropriate stops for water or scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and would recommend it highly to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.

I need to preface my comment, outlining that I need to have an artificial knee replacement due to bone & bone, hence my reason for not believing I will do the full circuit again. I am writing my review, mainly to encourage those who really want to do it, that it can be done. You just need to take it slower & use 2 walking poles. Other fit & able walkers completed the circuit in 2 hours, however I took 4 hours & that is okay. It is not a race. I am pleased I did it, as prior to compromised knees I was a massive sports woman & I like to be active. I really did enjoy the walk. If you believe the 7.4km circuit is too daunting, then the walk to the 2nd lookout Karingana is well worth it.

We traveled with a large group - 8 adults and 6 children. We did sunrise over Uluru with breakfast and Valley of the Winds hike. The communication from the beginning was exceptional and our reservation manager Karyn was extremely helpful in helping organise our tour, arrange dietary requirements, answer questions etc. The tour was amazing and our guides Dan and Conner were friendly, informative and very patient! The valley of the winds is amazing and well worth the time and effort to see. Highly recommended

What a great tour/hike! Dan the man was a fun and informative guide who looked after our every need. It’s 55 min drive there and you get a convenience stop before commencing the about 3 hour walk. The tour supplies a pack with water, a juice popper, muffin and muesli bar to snack on as you go. The ground is loose and rocky so may sure you wear sturdy walking shoes and take lots of water as it’s hot! The scenery is spectacular and it’s well worth the effort to take this walk!!!
