Traveler Reviews

This is very close to Quebec city (15 minutes by car from our hotel). You have two options to get to the top of the falls. From the visitor center you can take the cable car that goes up and down on the left side of the falls or you can take the stairs on the right side. There was some work being done at the bottom of the falls and it appears that you'll soon be able to get closer to the base of the falls. A good place to go for about 2-3 hours.

Beautiful falls, manor house and walking trails, but the restaurant was not open nor was there any place to get a coffee or tea.

Everyone on the property is well trained and pleasant. The Park is easy to find and mostly an easy walk with great views. There is a very steep descent with lots of stairs, but you do not have to do that if you cannot manage it. The cable car is very smooth and stable; a gentle ride that is manageable even by those with fear of heights I would imagine.

The cable car ride provides a superb view of Montmorency Falls. We also enjoyed lunch on the terrace. The lunch setting was delightful. Portions sizes were enormous, but execution was short of expectation.

Absolute SCAM.. The Gondola lift is exactly 45 seconds long, and takes you from the bottom to the top, and vice-versa. Family of 4 $75.. WHAT THEY FAIL TO MENTION..Is you can park your car at the top of the mountain and experience EVERYTHING except for the 45 minutes in line for the 45 second lift.. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY and TIME!!!!
