Within no time, you have left downtown and almost follow paved roads towards one of the region’s most soothing and relaxing natural spots. Located 30 kilometres south of the city, the Kuang Si Falls is a three-tiered waterfall with a total drop of 60 meters from to bottom. Using well-maintained bicycles, the ride brings you through forest regions and small settlements of locals as we meander our way – with little traffic – to this sanctuary of serenity. Upon arrival, you will have the chance to take a dip in one of the turquoise-coloured pools (some are closed as they are considered sacred) or simply rest after a gentle ride in the Laotian countryside. Paths and trails around the falls offer good hiking opportunities for those in need of more activity.
