Great hike leader, very informative - great views and the added bonus of pillars of Hercules :) definitely recommend.
Wear your hiking shoes! This tour was the most amazing experience I've ever had! the scenery is definitely worth it and the exercise is great! I would definitely do this tour again! the tour guides looked out for me and I felt very comfortable and safe! thank you so much!
For a country that caters to tourists who are visiting for the water, this tour company gives us land-lovers great options! Shawn picked me up from the hotel, was very informative, and was a great hiking guide! He was prompt and was considerate of time too (bringing me back to the hotel just in time for the end lunch service). He is considerate of safety and hiking ability. He’s also a great conversationalist! He definitely will keep you entertained! Lastly, he was very helpful in assisting me find more information about the Barbuda ferry. My hike was definitely the highlight of my trip! I’ve been to over 150 UN countries, many of them as a solo female traveler, and I know a good guide when I see him or her. He definitely is a good guide and respectful to women! If you are traveling alone as a female, you will feel safe and comfortable with Shawn. Enjoy your hike with Shawn!
I did the sunset hike and truly enjoyed it! It's an easy hike with great views and ideal to get away from the resort and experience the lands as well. It's a moderate form of exercise and feasible with sneakers. The guides were fantastic and I tried local wild fruits along the way.
Our guide not only led us safely up the mountain and down, he also taught us lots about the local Antiguan culture which was interesting. We saw all the fruit trees in the orchard at the bottom. The trek was just right for us as a moderately fit couple, taking just over 2 hours to go up and down. We enjoyed the views from the top. I appreciated the recommendation of local restaurant to eat at after the trek, where I ate the local speciality 'pepper pot' dish.
