I love history and castles so this visit was great for me. Fun tour with knowledgable volunteers and staff! A must see!

We took a day tour to see Karlstejn Castle from Prague were we were guided from our hotel to await our small bus a couple blocks away. We then had a tour guide who spoke to our group almost non-stop all during the trip. Our group was made up of English and Spanish speakers, so she would repeat herself in each language. Eventually it was decided that the Spanish speakers knew enough English that it the ride would continue in English. She pointed out different places as we drove out of the city as well as interesting facts and history about Prague, Bohemia and Czechia. Later through winding narrow streets we made our way up towards Karlstejn. It took a good 45 minutes to get there but it was well worth it. We parked the bus and walked uphill on the small main street of the town of Karlstejn. Very quaint town with interesting little canal that runs in front of houses. The castle is not horrible, I suggest a visit as it is not far from city center - 45 minute drive. However, the tour was one of the worst I have ever been on. The guide did not know about the castle or Czech history. She took far too long to just drink coffee and stop at all the shops and took multiple breaks walking up the hill. I'd be ok with that if she had known anything about the castle to share. The bus was not the best condition, but ok. I lost all trust in this company to provide a knowledgeable guide. A wasted 5 hours!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Guide, Yanna, was great! Lots of information and very helpful and accommodating. Great scenery and enjoyed the castle. There is a walk up to the castle from parking. Wanders through an area with restaurants and stores, but is uphill.
