The basilica has large vaulted ceilings and exquisite examples of stained glass windows.Stop At: Jardin Botanico Lankester, 4 Km. Cartago and Paraiso Road, Nr. Bus Stop, Cartago Costa RicaNext, stop at Lankester Gardens, a University of Costa Rica Center for Investigation that protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads, and countless other species of plants. Continue to the Valley of Orosi, an area that overflows with beauty. DO NOT purchase this trip! I paid online through Tripadvisor as it is a reputable site but it was a total scam. I waited for 2 hours past the departure time for the alleged tour to collect me and no one ever turned up. I tried calling the office number tripadvisor provided and it said the phone was off. I even went to the office in central San Jose to try and get my money back but it was locked and bolted.

Belo passeio de meio dia para se visitar a cratera do vulcão irazú, As vistas do trajeto são muito bonitas. Recomendo combinar o passeio como o jardim botânico Lankester.

Wonderful tour in Costa Rica. Great views from the volcano, nice town in Cartago, great view of the lake from the restaurant, and beautiful botanical garden.

Excursión muy recomendable. Mención especial al gran trabajo del Guía Gary y el conductor Ricardo.
Volcán Irazú espectacular, pueblo de Cartago, mucho más bonito que la capital, San José, Valle de Orosi, increíble, un gran descubrimiento y la comida en el Gran Cafetal, junto al Lago, muy bien.

Nos recogieron a la hora prevista, nuestro guía Gari y el chófer Ricardo. Un minibús muy cómodo y un viaje muy agradable, nos dió muy buena información y fue muy atento y amable. Comimos en un restaurante magnífico en una plantación de café con una comida exquisita y muy buen servicio. Los paisajes, la gente y todo impecable....hasta hubo buen tiempo, no se puede pedir más. No se lo pierdan
