We took a 5 hour bus tour of Oslo which included a tour guide. During our visit our tour guide was Richard, he was very professional, knowledge and funny. The meeting spot was at a good location, very close to the pier and the The Nobel Peace Center. It was about a 20 minutes walk from the Oslo city center, and also the return area. The tour was in-depth included visit of the Fram and Viking museum, Holmenkollbakken and the Viegland Park
The 3 hour tour was perfect to have a quick look at some of Oslo's attractions. Our tour guide was really enthusiastic and the bus was really comfortable. It would have been nice at the Holmenkollen to have a bit more time to admire the sight itself. With the route of the bus you get a great overview of the city and what it has to offer.
I live in Oslo and had seen the sights previously but attended this with a friend who was visiting. Helene was our guide for the day. I have to say that she made the tour spectacular. Her guiding style is the best I've come across (and I travel a fair bit and go on tours all over the world). She is very engaging, often including anecdotes and fun facts while she is informing us of the history. She is very friendly and smiled the whole day. She clearly has a passion for the history of Oslo and has mastered how she tells visitors about it, tailoring her style depending on the ages/backgrounds of the tourists. This really was a pleasure!
My family and I (a group of 5 people in total) took this tour on our first day in Oslo. Our guide Helena was really friendly and knowledgeable and gave a lovely live tour of the city as we drove through Oslo on the tour bus. We fist stopped at the Ski Jump where we had around half an hour to use the bathroom if necessary, try the ski simulator and enjoy the view. It would have been nice to have had a bit more time here to better appreciate the panorama and look around, but the tour had to continue to stay on schedule, besides, we still got to see everything. Our next stop was Vigeland Park where Helena explained the meaning behind the sculptures and also gave a nice biography of the sculptor's life. Again it would have been nice to have had some more time to explore the park but we still managed to see all the important things. Our driver, Vitor was also very friendly. We were also given the option to upgrade our tour for entry into museums as they have different packages, but we felt
Overall, this was a very good tour. The only thing I would change is the time at the ski jump. It needs to be adjusted to be either more or less. Once you have seen the area, then move on. There isn't enough time to go up in the elevator to get the grand view nor is it needed.
