Travelling through Vietnam You will discover the local cuisine varies greatly from region to region, where a lot of dishes are only available in a certain area and nowhere else. Doing a local food tour is an easy, and more importantly a fun way to get to know the local specialties, and this food tour by Jolie has been my favourite in Vietnam! As it happened the other people who signed up for the tour I took canceled because one was ill, so i got a solo tour with guide Rosie, lucky me! Her knowledge of the city and its local produce and places is very extensive, sharing it with you makes you appreciate the food and locations you will try more then you would otherwise. I loved the enthusiasm she brings making you feel you are fully absorbed in the culinary life of Hoi An, and setting you up to venture further by yourself on the following days. Thank you very much for a delightfull afternoon, your informal attitude made me feel as if we were just friends out exploring the town and your en

Rosie took us around Hoi An trying many different foods, in restaurants and on the street. As it was a Helping Hands tour we were invited to meet a 92 year old lady in her home and take her some little gifts. Rosie was great fun and we really enjoyed our time with her.

My fiancé and I had taken a cooking class with Rosie and loved it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g298085-d15224275-Reviews-Jolie_Danang_Cooking_Class-Da_Nang.html?m=19905 So we decide to take the Hoi An food tour the next day that she hosted as well. It was amazing. The insider info on the dishes and the restaurants was great, and not something I would have had any clue about otherwise. We capped the night off in the light of the old town with a boat ride. She also had remembered at the previous class that I mentioned my birthday coming up and she surprised us with some birthday cake. I couldn’t believe it. Rosie herself is just a bundle of fun and she is very sweet. We will definitely do more of the Jolie offerings the next time we are in the area. This and the Jolie cooking class has been our favorite part of our stay in Da Nang/Hoi An.

The Hoi An street food tour was a last minute decision for my fiancé and I. We loved the Jolie cooking class so much and had some extra time, so we signed up for the food tour too. We were SO HAPPY we did! We ended up being the only people on the tour so we felt like VIPs. Rosie helped us arrange transportation from our place in Da Nang to Hoi An. Then we started right out with the food tour. We opted to have everything be a surprise, which was so fun. Rosie did a great job explaining the history of where all the foods and businesses/restaurants originated. Our favorite was for sure the white rose won ton! We were brave and tried the partially developed baby duck (optional of course). Rosie was very professional and made sure to bring hand sanitizer and extra hand wipes to keep us clean. She took us touring around the city, showing us different shops and then took us to a coffee/tea place where we got to try what we wanted. She even remembered it was my fiancé’s birthday and we had cak

We booked this tour on a whim at the last moment and we were so glad that we did. Our tour guide Rosie was amazing. She was energetic, enthusiastic and her English was perfect. She explained so much about the history of food and how it was made and took us to the freshest places where we were able to watch the dough being prepared for our white rose dumplings before we devoured them; she took us to the historical well in the middle of the ancient village and told us the history of how the water is used from the well by most of the restaurants to make dough and noodles. All in all we were very impressed. Rosie was extremely caring and keen for us to experience the food culture of vietnam. We recommend this tour and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
