Traveler Reviews

We brought our granddaughter because this is all she talked about throughout the school year. She is very much into Hamilton and she wanted to learn more by doing the freedom trail. The guide was excellent, my granddaughter had many questions and as he spoke she took lots and lots of notes. Very informative, funny and very engaging with everyone

Great tour, learned a lot and was a great pace. It would be amazing if there is an option to do the full tour. We definitely missed our guide when we were let off on our own ?? that said Quincy market is an awesome drop off area.

This was a great tour for my daughter (15 years old) and me. Jeremiah Poope was our fantastic guide for almost 2 hours. He was super engaging with everyone and provided fun facts as we toured to go along with historical info. I would highly recommend this tour for all ages especially if you can get Mr Poope.

Multiple complaints on the website about too many people on this tour. We should have listened. Our Saturday tour was rescheduled. We showed up to a large crowd. Website noted policy was less than 30 on tour. Our guide kept shilling for more people to join even after clearly more than 30. I counted 90 on our tour. We walked to first spot and couldn’t even see the guide due to the small army. We complained and told we could get money back. At least they did give us money back. I would avoid this tour. Way to many people to be enjoyable. Many other options for the Freedom trail.

We purchased tickets in advance online for the 9:30 tour. Per the email confirmation we arrived 10 minutes early. At 9:30 we were told by visitor center staff that tours didn’t start until 10:00. The guide was apologetic about the start time. So after a 40-minute wait the tour began. The guide was very pleasant and appeared to be knowledgeable, but the presentation was less than thrilling. We had three elementary school kids with us and the tour lacked any cohesion that the kids, let alone adults could follow. After an extensive explanation of the topography and the glacial impacts on New England, we left the tour to follow the freedom trail ourselves. We learned more from the landmark signs than from the tour. I encourage people to reconsider paying for a tour that can be accomplished by following the trail and reading the signs.
