The tour was just great. Daniel had extensive knowledge and was a very good host. I also had the special honour that by chance Gabor Demszky (Mayor of Budapest - 1990-2010) also took part in the tour. I can hardly imagine a better contemporary witness. Daniel and Gabor played very well together and I had a unique experience with a lot of stories that you can't read in any history book. Great experience and I recommend every visitor of Budapest to join the tour - it is worth every cent. One of the best history tours I've ever joined! Thanks a lot! :)

This tour was led by a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who answered many questions about the historical period when Budapest and Hungary were under communist control as well as sites of present day interest. The route of the tour is absolutely beautiful and the guide points out unique sites that the tourist crowd miss. I had a great time learning on the tour and recommend it to anyone!

This English walking tour with a historian was the highlight of our 3-day trip to Budapest. We learned about 20th century Hungarian history with stops at historically significant locations that would be missed on a standard tourist tour. We found the historian knowledgeable and interesting. When friend ask about our trip, this is the highlight we mention first and most enthusiastically. Learning as well a seeing makes the visit so much more worthwhile.
