Traveler Reviews

Sara é uma guia especializada na historia judaica em Porto. Extremamente bem preparada, trazendo materias consigo. Muitíssimo bem informada . Super recomendo o tour

I’m old enough to remember the old phone company slogan, “the next best thing to being there.” That aptly describes the virtual Jewish Heritage tour of Porto. I’d actually walked some of these streets on earlier visits to Porto, but now, thanks to Sara, I understand what I saw. She’s a wonderful, enthusiastic guide, knowledgeable about all sorts of aspects of Porto life, history and culture.

Sara is a self-confessed "nerd" when it comes to history. She also speaks excellent English and does in-depth research. On this tour, you'll follow her through areas of four Jewish settlements in Porto from the 13th century to the present day. Sara's description of the causes and effects of the Inquisition in the 15th century is fascinating. You'll also get a feel for a picturesque part of the city and a few residents who are brave enough to be on the street right now. Most of all, Sara's personality shines through with her answers to all your questions. Take this tour even if you've been to Porto or plan to go in the future. Fortunately, she has time slots which accommodate our time differences here in the U.S.A.

Went on an online tour of the Jewish Quarter in Porto. Sara, the online guide, was exceptionally well informed and dialogue flowed as easily as if the tour had been in person. The format of a video walk with live commentary, stopping where necessary to give explanations, was engaging and allowed for additional explanation. Sara is enthusiastic and has a sharp historical perspective. This is as good as it gets in these times to "being there". Highly recommend Sara as a guide. GM

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tour with Sara. She is very knowledgeable and transmitted her knowledge simply and clearly. She also adapted the tour to our interests. We highly recommend the tour.
