Traveler Reviews

Love that it's a small group! All places were really cool to visit and plenty of breaks. Our driver Mick was amazing and great fun, have us so much interesting information. Would go again!!

We loved our trip with our guide. He picked us up promptly and had clear communications about our meeting point. We went to such varied locations that we felt like we got a true feeling about the area. Most excited to see our first and only wild kangaroo, wallabies, and lace monitor. Loved being in the rainforest in the rain! The van was comfortable and was geared to people of all activity levels.

My husband and I had a great tour with Steve who took us into the rainforest, the bush, and all around Cairns for a memorable experience. Steve is super knowledgeable about the local flora and animals and has some great stories to tell. He's very kind, takes a good picture, and makes a mean cookie! Highly recommend a tour with Steve (and don't forget to stop at the fruit stand)!

I recently visited Cairns for work and was able to take a half day 4 WD tour. I was lucky enough to be the only person booked so I had the tour all to myself! Steve was great company, relaxed and interesting, providing information throughout the afternoon about the local flora a fauna. The area is so beautiful and the half day was just enough to get a taste and make me want to come back and see more. Thanks to Discovery Tours and in particular Steve who made the experience so enjoyable. He makes a great cup of tea too ;)

we did afternoon half day rainforest and waterfall 4wd tour travelled to the barron falls and drove through the town of Kuranda and on to the cairns dam then on to 4wd drive through the rainforest really enjoyed this part of the tour
