Traveler Reviews

Going to Whittier, seeing a bore tide - Just WOW - and all the animals. Russ was very knowledgeable about Alaska and Anchorage in particular and it was great to hear history and anecdotes that help make memories. Saw an injured eagle and Russ followed up to get it help. Amazing!

Russ was a wonderful tour guide. Customized the trips to our likes and doesn't extra time on places we were interested. Made sure we got the best photos and see all the wildlife we could! Very knowledgeable and made sure we were fed and comfortable the entire trip!

I got super lucky here. I had some a group not show up to the tour, and another person, who was on the tour initially, had to leave after the Anchorage portion. So that made it really a private tour at that point. True to their word, Anchorage Downtown TourGroup will not charge you extra for it. I also got lucky because I got Russ Reno to take me, and he took us all over the place, up in mountain views of the whole Anchorage, beautiful scenes, layouts and reasons for things we saw in Alaska that made no sense us tourists. This really made my day, and he didn't cheat the experience just because I was solo at that point. The other thing that was special is I had done too many boat rides previously, so, Russ allowed me to switch to the Winter All In One itinerary, in a portion of the trip. Whittier's area is pretty cool, don't count it out, as I initially did, because it has gems there from knowledge you can learn, to photo ops. I had been on other tours, seeing some of the same areas as

A fun and educational day outing with Russ. He is very knowledgeable, especially with the Anchorage earthquakes. Was able to see the wildlife and brash ice in addition to a picturesque trip on Seward Highway heading south to Whittier. Had a delicious lunch with the freshest fish. The final stop was to a very unique gift shop. Thank you Russ for showing me around Anchorage.

Russ did an excellent job at showing us the area and being very detailed in what we were seeing. We had an 11 hour trip with Russ. We saw much of Anchorage, from the suburbs to downtown. We learned about how the city changed from 2 earthquakes and saw the changes to the streets and buildings. We saw wildlife on the side of the highway as well as at the wildlife conservatory. We drove to the small fishing town of Whittier as well and learned about the odd set up of the town and how the people there live. If we had another trip planned we would contact Russ for another tour that they have available
