Our guide, Luis, was excellent. Not only did we visit Chora island (our main objective) but we kayaked into the nearby reef where the snorkelling was brilliant 1000’s of fish, including puffer fish, eels. If you are in the area track down Luis Ramirez of Tico Experience ????
The crew were great -- friendly, fun, safe, and very quick to tune into people's different skill and comfort levels. The kayaking was easy, without much current or waves to worry about. We saw a sea turtle, some tropical fish, and plenty of iguanas on Isla Chora. Highly recommend!
This trip was great! Very family friendly. We saw lots of colorful fish. The kayaking was fun. Our guide made sure everything was very safe. We enjoyed it very much.

He was very knowledgeable and vigilant to show us all the wildlife in the area. When we were getting ready to head back, he even helped the other tour because they had not pulled out into the surf correctly which allowed one of their boats to capsize. Luis explained all about the directions of the surf and where to go. He was very conscious of our safety and paddling abilities. I can't imagine doing this tour with anyone else. At the end he recommended the Ecocentro Danaus in La Fortuna where we were going to visit next. It w
