ItineraryIf Puerto Vallarta were famous for only one thing, it would be its spectacular sunsets! There is no better location for a photography adventure. You will be learning new skills and techniques as you capture wonderful images of our stunning Puerto Vallarta at its most lovely time of day.Get a front row seat for the sunset as we gather on the Malecón for lessons on exposure, color, silhouettes, and metering modes. Then we will shoot the setting sun from the beach using a variety of apertures and shutter speeds for different effects and practice shooting flash at sunset. You will leave this course with a variety of sunset photographs and learn to take advantage of what is known as the golden hour of photography with incredibly beautiful lighting. You will also learn how all of these techniques apply to sunrise photographs for future application.Receive comprehensive lessons that can be applied to all of your photography subjects. Each workshop comes with a detailed handout highlighting all of the topics we covered. All of our students are invited to join our online community where they can continue to receive photography support and participate in our themed challenges. We had a great session with Ashley - one Nikon, one Canon, and Ashley was quite adept at switching between the two brands, explaining settings on each, as well as both basic and more advanced photographic concepts ;) While the sunset itself that night was not what one would consider spectacular, we did get good shots and she was also able to draw our attention to other aspects that we might have missed. Ashley is knowledgeable, professional and passionate about her work; she is also a good educator, patient and answers questions in simple terms. Timing of 90 mins was just right. You will not be disappointed.

I booked this as a gift to my husband and I'm so glad I did! Ashley is a great teacher! She is extremely knowledgeable and is great at teaching the art of photography. We kept in touch via text and when I told her my hubby did not bring his tripod she was happy to bring one with her. She took her time and shared a great deal of information on how to shoot perfect Sunset pictures. She followed up with an email that included a sheet of the photography tips she went over during the lesson. We highly recommend this to anyone that loves photography (shooting in manual/raw mode).
