ItineraryThis is an exciting, class 3-4 Costa Rica rafting river — You’re going to love this intense, Costa Rica adventure of the Costa Rican jungle! The Sarapiquí River is one of Costa Rica’s most-exuberant rivers for some of the best rafting Costa Rica has to offer! It is near the Arenal Volcano, San Jose and Caribbean with more than 45 continuous, class-3-4 rapids along more than 14 miles of lush, vibrant Costa Rica rain forest. The meeting point for this tour is the Sarapiqui Outdoor Center in La Virgen de Sarapiqui. After checking in, you will take a short van ride to the town of San Miguel de Sarapiqui, where the Class 3/4 section begins. Once you get to the Sarapiquí River, your experienced and certified rafting guide will give you thorough safety instructions, get you set up with top-quality adventure gear such as your helmet, personal flotation device, and paddle and then you're off – you'll be paddling for more than 2 hours! The highly qualified guides make a difference in this labyrinth of rocks, holes, and waves. Your guide will always be there to make you feel comfortable and safe during the trip with a professional attitude and willingness to help. Today went whitewater rafting with SOC for our honeymoon in Costa Rica. It was truly one of the best experiences in our life! Our guides Justin and Steve were incredible but also David and 'la abuela' were so friendly and open towards us, we really felt at ease and at home.
The river rafting was crazy and awesome, we did level 3 and 4 and it was pretty intense... We fell out but we're swiftly picked up by our guide, so no harm no foul :-).
Afterwards we were treated to an amazing vegan lunch, great coffee and some freshly pressed sugar cane shots. I could not recommend a place more than this! If you're here, you have to do it!

A huge thank you to the team at Sarapaqui Outdoor centre. An amazing experience , filled with adrenaline but at the same time I felt extremely safe thanks to our knowledgeable guide. Professional equipment , helmets and life jacket! Lovely snacks after the tour too. 100% reccomend booking to go rafting with Sarapaqui Outdoor Centre!

We had an amazing time on this excursion. David was so accommodating and even moved our time slot back to the afternoon last minute. He arranged our transportation from the hotel. We felt safe with our guide, but it was definitely an adrenaline rush. Highly highly recommend this family-owned business.

I want to begin by saying we had the best experience doing the white water rafting here it was amazing and super fun! Our guides today were Eric and Mariano they made the whole day even better with there charisma and knowledge of the river. If you're debating choosing any place to do rafting choose this one!!
