I had never surfed before. Only body boardedIt took me a while, but finally landed my first wave, and was able stand and sustain for a while thanks to the great one on one personalized instruction I received!

My 13 year old daughter never surfed but she is a competitive swimmer. This is something she always wanted to try. She had a private lesson with Star and she just fell in love with the waves. We went back for a 2nd lesson. Star is so patient. She knows how to teach whomever based on their physical ability and listening skills. If we can package her and bring her home we would. My family adore her. She is one of those people you meet and just love. I guess we know what to buy our daughter for Christmas. Star gave us some board recommendations.

This experience was so much fun! My instructor Calvin was a great teacher! His tips were great and I got up on my first try. The waves were picking up as the lesson went on making it even more exciting! I will definitely continue with surfing after this and can’t wait to go again! The Maui Wave riders team in Lahaina was absolutely the most genuine people, I have met in Maui. I walked away on cloud nine and truly gained my aloha spirit after surfing! It is worth it!

Great experience and lots of fun. Kyle is very knowledgeable and a very good teacher. He takes his time showing the technique and is making learning a fun time. I totally can recommend Kyle and his team!
