Traveler Reviews

We found out about the Hula Hula Hooper by accident through another cruise ship guest..and it was a blessing!! We weren't interested in any of the expensive excursions offered by the cruise line and were looking for a way to get to a beach. This was our answer! We called with questions and they were answered by an actual person (Rafael??) who was very helpful and were able to pre-book tickets online. Tickets were very reasonable. We spent the afternoon at Kanaha Beach Park...they even had beach chairs for us to use! Hopping back on was very easy and they were right on schedule. On the way back to the ship, our driver, Adam, was friendly, funny, and helpful and gave us great information about the area and tips for future visits. Next time, we definitely would take this route again and explore the other routes offered as well! They were also very aware of our cruise ship schedule and made sure were back in plenty of time to board. We would highly recommend the Hula Hula Hoope

Having been to Maui 6 times, going on the Hula Hula Hopper was our top excursion here among dozens of others. Make it a priority to check them out! Adam and Raphael were AMAZING! Don't hesitate to call them with any question about the trolley tour or schedule, as they will put you at ease. They were very informative about the places to see at our drop off points, and really cared about the people on their tour...often commenting about the plan for staying on time, and offering cold water on that hot, hot day. We were able to watch kite surfing at one of the beaches, visit Gene Simmons and Willie Nelsons' restaurants and hear about the fascinating history of the region. It was great fun and so comfortable riding on their trolley! Thanks Hula-Hula Hopper! We will be return customers.

The Hula Hula Hopper is a great option for touring around Maui from the cruise ship. You can see a lot of Maui without the expense and restrictions of the ship based excursions. Rafael was amazingly informative and supportive. He is very focused on making sure cruise passengers have a great experience in Maui. You can’t go wrong if you want to explore the island

We live near Hilo, HI and are taking our 2nd Pride of America cruise (1st was 12 years ago) so we’ve been to all the beautiful islands of Hawaii nei. We decided to do this tour with relatives visiting from Naperville, IL. What a fun time with the knowledgeable, friendly and helpful Rafael, Adam and Jasper, the border collie. We revisited Paia, an old-time hippie town as well as a short stop at Iao Valley (the ship was leaving early today). But the tour driver, who is witty and entertaining, was the best part as he described the areas including plants and sites as well as his favorite restaurants. The helpful information alone is worth the reasonable price.

This went way beyond expectations. We did the two day hopper. I highly recommend it. Rafael and Adam were wonderful tour guides and so personable. We saw the best of Maui. Not to mention it was the Best Deal...an incredible value. Jasper was a great bonus.
